Douma and Shinobu (+ Kanae) Parallel Observation I haven't seen this one pointed out, but do you guys think it's an intentional parallel that Douma brought in Gyutaro and Daki and Shinobu (and Kanae!) brought in Kanao like the adopting kids from the street thing? She relied on Kanao to finish the job even tho she has no idea if she would actually make it that far in the fight even at the final stretch she needed Inosuke to help her cut off the head when Inosuke wasn't a part of the original plan. Douma specifically kept Kanao and Inosuke alive since it's an established character trait for him to be interested in those with big emotional stakes, since he lacks any of his own. Little backstory: This was one of the most wasted opportunities in the whole anime/manga. It has been displayed multiple times that demons can change, choose the right path, though that would be inherently difficult for Douma as he doesn’t feel emotions. Shinobu was asked by her sister Kanae to forgive demons and befriend them. He was not threatened by her whatsoever, and due to his weird obsession with eating women, he didn't go all-out against her, and just let her tire herself out and use all of her techniques. But yeah, she's technically a very minor character, but it's another reason that adds onto why he is a good/bad (depending on how you look at it) antagonist.
